Description
Preparation Disposal Facility Demo in Serpong Nuclear Zone has been done by the Radioactive Waste Technology Center since 2010 to support the construction and operation of the Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Indonesia in the future. Therefore, the safety assessments needed to meet development requirements of Demo Disposal Facility. One part of the safety assessment is the need for massive chemical data input, namely radiocesium diffusion by soil as cover material on demo disposal facility that in the first year will be measured dry density of soil cover beforehand as a limitation of the study. Then the radiocesium diffusion research by soil needs to be done to obtain information specific character as cover material for demo disposal facility. In this diffusion research data obtained amount of dry density of soil surface on disposal facility at the site demo is about 1.41 g/cm3. Based on research Hillel 1980b showed that the characteristics of the cover material disposal facilities demo includes the type sandy loam. (author)
