Does relativistic theory of gravitation explain gravitational effects

  • 1. Udmurtskij Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Izhevsk (USSR)

Description

It is shown that introducing the flat Minkowski space into the relativistic theory of gravitation (RTG) transforms RTG into a version of the general theory of relativity (GTR). All the basic RTG objects, i.e. the energy-momentum tensor, covariant gauge conditions, coincide in the both formalisms. The basic equation of RTG is a harmonic gauge condition of the bimetric formalism. An algorithm is given for transformation of the GTR solutions into the RTG solutions. The same cosmological conditions exist in both RTG and GTR. The group of motion which generates the conserved quantities does not conserve the causal relations which fact leads to inconsistency between the RTG Minkowski space fundamentally principle and other principles of the theory. After an appropriate correction RTG turns out to be a concrete representation of GTR
