Valorisation of seaweeds and other aquatic plants

This volume about 'Valorisation des algues et autres vegetaux aquatiques' is being published when studies are developing on natural environment protection and economical management for water and aquatic resources. It should help in setting up development strategies for exploitation of seaweeds as well as fresh-water plants. This work is helpful to many readers and more particularly to: researchers, industrials, responsible of research units or technical associations, teachers of various academic levels, all classes of decision-makers, students. It will give them food for thought and bring many references about people already committed in these fields. This volume includes three parts: 1- Part one is about VALVA (Valorisation des vegetaux aquatiques = upgrading aquatic plants) Colloquium with a) a general summary - b) activities of various ministries in these fields - c) the texts of 52 posters presented during the colloquium - d) proposals which have been done during the 18 round-tables of the colloquium. 2- Part two contains indexes dealing with the colloquium and helping in the use of the above documents. 3- Part three is dealing with people involved in the field of upgrading aquatic plants in France. It contains a) addresses of 252 persons, b) a general table gathering for each one their socio-professional category and their interest according to 4 rubrics (biological material, ecological environment, geographical zone and type of activity), c) an analysis of data presented in the general table.
