Comparison of multiplicity distributions in various inelastic processes

Description
In this paper we review the latest work done on the analysis of multiplicity distributions of particles created in various processes of interaction of particles and nuclei. Particle multiplicity distributions in inelastic processes of interactions of high energy particles and nuclei differ strongly both in their shapes and in their energy dependence. Theoretical predictions for the moments of distribution in quark and gluon jets are given. The ratio of average multiplicities in these jets is also discussed
