Temperature fields and residual stresses in bimetallic cylinder on cooling

Description

Analytical model for distribution of the temperature field and residual stresses in a long bimetallic solid cylinder during its air- cooling is numerically realized on ES1022 computer. Its practical application for optimization of initial parameters of composites utilized as hardening wear-resistant coatings for working surfaces of the cylinder parts is presented. Conditions for application of these coatings are also numerically realized on the computer. Engineering recommendations suggested in the paper are aimed at solving problem on increase of wear-resistance, fatigue strength and resistance of parts to cyclic and alternating loading as well as at a number of other operational characteristics
