Description
The swelling of a series of V-Fe alloys has been studied after irradiation at 700degC in JMTR. The alloy V-5%Fe showed the largest swelling among all V-Fe alloys studied. The dislocation structure changes drastically by adding only 1at.% of iron. The effect of iron on the microstructural evolution has been discussed in terms of the stabilization of crowdion configuration of self-interstitial atoms in the vicinity of an edge dislocation.
