Description
Among various biological indicator systems which have been examined on their suitability to quantify human radiation exposures, only the chromosome analysis in peripheral blood lymphocytes has been established for routine application. In conjunction with physical dosimetry the chromosome dosimetry is a valuable tool to estimate an equivalent whole body dose in radiolocial protection. (orig.)

Unter der Vielzahl biologischer Indikatorsysteme, die auf ihre Eignung zur Quantifizierung von Strahlenexpositionen hin untersucht wurden, hat sich nur die Chromosomenanalyse in Blutlymphozyten fuer eine Routineanwendung als brauchbar erwiesen. Im medizinischen Strahlenschutz ist die Chromosomendosimetrie, zur Abschaetzung individueller aequivalenter Ganzkoerperdosen, eine wertvolle Ergaezung zur physikalischen Dosimetrie.
