Description
In the present paper, we will introduce sputtering calculations based on the bipartition model of ion transport. The sputtering yields for energetic H+, D+, T+ and He+ ion bombardments on Ni and C have been calculated to give tests of this calculation method. The comparison of our results with corresponding Monte Carlo data and experimental data shows that the bipartition model can give reasonable description of the sputtering induced by energetic ions and has high calculation efficiency.
