DNA content abnormalities, estrogen receptor and cell proliferation in breast carcinomas
- 1. National Center of Oncology, Sofia (Bulgaria)
Description
Data have accumulated recently indicating the prognostic value of ER status and its relationship to the clinical stage and histological grade of malignancy. However, there are contradictory results for the relationship between the ER content, ploidy abnormalities and proliferative activity of breast tumors. In this study ER status, DNA ploidy and cell cycle distribution are investigated in breast carcinomas using the dextran-coated method, flow cytometry (FCM) and in vitro labeling of tumor cells with 3H- and 14C-thymidine
