Equation of the anomalous self-diffusion coefficient in bcc lattices of the 4 A group transition metals
Description
The equation of the temperature dependence of the anomalous self-diffusion coefficient in bcc lattices of the 4A group transition metals is obtained. The equation derivation is based on the following preconditions. Like normal self-diffusion, the anomalous one in the bcc lattices should have the direct thermodynamic relation with production of fluctuation ''local melting cells'' in the lattice. Possible appearance of ω-like fluctuations of the structure will increase inharmonicity of atomic displacements in the bcc lattice, mitigate it, decrease the degree of order. This effect of the ω-like embryons must decrease the energy of production of the ''local melting cells'' in the bcc lattice by the value decreasing with temperature and, consequently, leading to anomalous self-diffusion
