Light scattering by two dimensional electron systems in semiconductor quantum wells
Description
A general description of resonant inelastic light scattering as a spectroscopic method that determines the energies and wavevectors of the elementary excitations of free carriers in semiconductor quantum wells, is presented. The Ga As-(AlGa) As heterostructures are considered as examples of applications of the light scattering method to study single particle and collective behavior of high mobility two dimensional electron systems. Abstract (Portuguese)
