Creators

  • 1. Queens Univ., Belfast, Northern Ireland (UK). Dept. of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics

Description

The R-matrix method and its applications in atomic and molecular physics are reviewed. The theoretical basis of the method is first described. Then a brief review of computer program packages which have been written to implement the method is presented. Finally some applications, including the collision of electrons with atoms, ions and molecules and the photoionisation of atoms are discussed. 77 refs.; 12 figs
