Description
We have analyzed the Moessbauer spectra of low-spin ferric myoglobin azide, taken in small applied field from 30 K to 200 K, in terms of a dynamic lineshape model. Our results show fluctuation rates having a temperature dependence which is different from that measured using EPR for T < 10 K and shed new light on the vibtational modes coupling to the spin S=1/2 of the heme iron.
