Hydrothermal synthesis of complicated aluminium ortho-phosphates
Description
A new hydrothermal method of synthesizing double phosphates of aluminium and alkaline metals has been proposed. The method makes it possible to reduce considerably the time of synthesis and to obtain the unknown salts M2HAl4(PO4)5x H2O (where M is Rb or Cs), RbAl2(PO4)2OH x 2H2O (two modifications), Na3Al(PO4)2 x 1.5H2O, and Li4Al(PO4)OH. The conditions of crystallization have been found and density of 13 compounds have been determined. Microphotographs, diffractograms, and interplanar distances of some firstly obtained products are given. Comparison of synthesis duration of some salts with the data obtained earlier indicates that the method accelerates crystallization by 50-500 times. The results of chemical analysis of the compounds are given
