Description
Basic parameters affecting operation capability of sodium-cooled fast reactor oxide fuel elemnts have been determined, principles for selecting their optimal values proposed, and basic phenomena arising in oxide fuel elements during operation considered. Dynamic models of thermally stable and sturdy design of fuel elements and criteria for estimating operational reliability based on theoretical considerations and experimental data on the behavior of materials in and outside of reactors have been selected
