Description
The D(d,p)T nuclear reaction was used to study the radiation-induced segregation of deuterium in steel having different microstructures: in quenched and aged states, and also after cold plastic deformation. It was shown that the segregation intensity depended on the initial structure of the samples. A method was proposed for separation of contributions made by different types of traps - elements of the structure - to trapping of implanted deuterium in the irradiated volume. The mechanism of formation and evolution of the segregation under irradiation was discussed
