Description

This work shows that using of Alfven waves for tokamak plasma heating and current drive is accompanied by increased ion poloidal and toroidal rotation. These quantities have been estimated for Phaedrus-T tokamak, where the main goal was to study Alfven waves (A W) plasma heating and current drive, and for JET, where A W are under intensive study. For experimental data of this tokamak it was shown that the quasistationary ion rotation velocities and radial electric field are weakly changed by A W. (author). 4 refs
