Damping and fluctuations in systems of coupled quantum oscillators

Description

The damping and equilibrium state under the action of random fluctuating forces are derived in terms of the P distribution function for a system of N coupled harmonic oscillators in a heating bath consisting of different heating baths with different temperatures, each interacting with its own oscillator. The correlation function matrix is calculated exactly for the coupled oscillators
