Quality assurance during nationwide survey of natural radioactive concentration in waters in China

During the time period of 1983-1990, NEPA organized to carry out the investigation on natural environmental radioactivity level all over China. China Institute for Radiation Protection (CIRP) was engaged as a quality assurance and technical advisory unit. The paper is a summary report of the Quality Assurance Group for the survey of natural radionuclides contents in waters. Quality management during survey, traceableness and comparableness for the values of radionuclides in waters between different laboratories and quality control in laboratories were discussed
