Intrinsic absorption and luminescence of metaphosphate glasses

Description
Investigations into spectra of absorption, photo- and thermostimulated luminescence, spectra of luminescence excitation of glass-like metaphosphates are conducted. Different composition metaphosphates obtained under recovery and oxidative conditions are studied. Edge of fundamental absorption is determined to results from electron transitions in zone localized states. Position of UV absorption edge depends on modificator type. Eigenluminescence of phosphate matrices is shown to be linked with zone localized states. Photoluminescence and phosphorescence are caused by the same emission transitions
