Peculiarities of α → γ transformation in Fe-28.1%Ni alloy during by shock waves

  • 1. AN SSSR, Sverdlovsk. Inst. Fiziki Metallov

Description

The electron microscopic investigation has been carried out of γ-phase formation arising during shock loading with pressure from 7.6 to 39.0 GPa in the iron-nickel alloy with the initial structure of packet martensite. The dependence of arising γ-phase quantity on the pressure in a shock wave is shown to posses a two-stage character. The structure in α → γ transformation is formed under action of two factors: a compressing pulse with high pressure and strain hardening resulted from high speed deformation
