Plasma heating in the TM-3 Tokamak at the electron cyclotron resonance in magnetic fields up to 25kGs
Description
Plasma heating at the electron cyclotron resonance was studied in the TM3 tokamak for increased magnetic fields at the resonance, to obtain further confirmation of the heating of the main electron population. The results obtained using Thomson scattering and diamagnetic measurements were compared, and they revealed that main electron population heating effectively occurs. It was thus possible to study the variation of tausub(E) with Tsub(e). The decrease of the hyperfrequency radiation intensity when the ECR heating is stopped was studied. It was shown that the confinement time of the electron energy increases with their longitudinal energy. The value Bsub(J)=2.2 was obtained after ECR heating at the 2nd harmonics, when Hsub(z)=5kGs and J=4kA

On a poursuivi l'etude du chauffage du plasma a la resonance cyclotronique electronique dans le Tokamak TM-3 d'une part en augmentant le champ magnetique a la resonance, d'autre part pour obtenir une confirmation supplementaire du chauffage de la population electronique principale. La comparaison des resultats obtenus par la methode de la diffusion Thomson et par les mesures diamagnetiques a montre qu'il se produit effectivement un chauffage de la population principale des electrons. Il a ete ainsi possible d'etudier de facon plus exacte la dependance de tausub(E) avec Tausub(e): l'etude de la diminution de l'intensite du rayonnement hyperfrequence apres l'arret du chauffage cyclotronique electronique permet de conclure que le temps de confinement de l'energie des electrons croit lorsque leur energie longitudinale augmente. Pour Hsub(z)=5kGs et J=4kA on a obtenu Bsub(J)=2,2 grace au chauffage cyclotronique electronique au deuxieme harmoniqueFiles
