Development and basic study on effectiveness of seismic response analysis method using a high-fidelity model for large-scale reinforced concrete structures

Description
In the seismic response analysis using high-fidelity models of large-scale reinforced concrete structures, such as nuclear power plant buildings, the application of high-performance computing is indispensable owing to the number of the degrees of freedom. This study shows the development of a seismic response analysis method for large-scale RC structures with FEM utilizing HPC. We applied the developed method to a seismic response analysis of a nuclear power plant building with surrounding ground, which is approximately 1.5 million DOF problem. This paper shows the results and discusses the analysis performance and effectiveness of the method. (author)

原子力発電所の建屋のような大規模重要構造物の安全性評価に使用する地震応答解析の品質保証は重要課題である.これに対して,著者らは,従来の質点系モデルより適用性の広いソリッド要素を主とする詳細モデルを用いた数値解析を活用することが効果的と考え,詳細モデルによる大規模鉄筋コンクリート構造物の地震応答解析手法を開発している.開発の重要項目は,高性能計算の有限要素法への材料構成則と適切な非線形解析手法の実装により,大規模な計算を実用的な時間で実行可能とすることである.本論文では,まず,これらの開発について示し,開発手法のパフォーマンスを小規模な鉄筋コンクリート構造物の解析により示した.ここで実装する非線形解析手法によって,解析が安定化・高速化されている.特にソルバのパフォーマンスが向上している点は高性能計算の活用の点から重要である.さらに,開発した手法を周辺地盤を含む原子力発電所の建屋の地震応答解析に適用し,解析時間の観点から有効性を示した.(著者)Additional details
