A and R parameters in π-p → K0Λ0/Σ0
Description
The quantities P, U and V (rather than A and R to avoid confusion) in terms of the scattering amplitudes are defined. Their extractions from the experimental Λ K and Σ K events is described, via maximum-likelihood methods, and the best way to extract Σ0 polarization is stressed. Using the Barrelet method and existing data the best momenta for A and R measurements in the resonance region and the accuracy needed are discussed. (author)
