Mass loss of solid boundary material due to collapse of bubbles close to a solid boundary

  • 1. College of Physics and Electronic Engineering, Northwest Normal University, Lanzhou, 730070 (China)

Description

A new extended bubble dynamical equation has been recently proposed by the authors Jin-Ze Liu, Wen-Shan Duan et al. Based on this equation, the dependence of the mass loss of a solid boundary material on the bubble parameters, such as the initial bubble radius, the distance from the center of the bubble to a solid boundary, and the intensity of external disturbances, is given in this paper. Our results can explain why there is mass loss when there are bubbles close to a solid boundary. Based on our results, it is also possible to estimate the mass loss of a solid boundary material due to bubble collapse. (author)
