Quark exchange currents within the quark cluster model

Description

Nuclear exchange currents arising from the quark degrees of freedom are studied in the quark cluster model. A proper definition of the two-body currents to be used for the conventional nuclear wave functions is examined. The electromagnetic form factors of the deuteron, the Gamow-Teller matrix elements for A=16±1 and A=40±1 systems and the electro-breakup of 4He are discussed as examples of application. (orig.)
