Nuclear fuel assembly for irradiation of material test piece

Description

Object: To permit easy handling of a 30-year coupon test capsule without disassembling the fuel section by adopting a construction where fuel and capsule are separated from each other. Structure: A capsule guide duct is provided in the center of the fuel assembly to form a region spaced from the capsule, said region accommodating a capsule which holds the coupon test piece. The capsule and guide tube are provided with holes, through which primary cooling water is adapted to flow into the capsule. (Kamimura, M.)
