The statistical investigation of type Ib/c, II supernovae their host galaxies

  • 1. Byurakan Astrophysical Observatory named after V. Ambartsumian, Byurakan (Armenia)

Description

Statistical investigation of properties of supernovae type lb/c and II and integral parameters of their spiral host galaxies is presented. The methods of one-dimensional and multivariate statistics have been applied to the constructed sample. It is concluded that SNe type lb/c are more concentrated to the center of the galaxies than SNe type II, both types of SNe are more concentrated to the center of active galaxies than in the normal ones. In comparison with SNe type II this effect is stronger for SNe Ib/c
