Description

Some improvements of the coupled channel program, the principles of which were described during earlier sessions, and the most interesting results obtained whith this program are presented. The analyzing power of a 2+ state in p p' scattering depends strongly on the quadrupole moment of the excited state. The folding of an α-nucleon potential added by some physicists at Karlsruhe gives good fits of their α-scattering at 104MeV with parameters deduced from proton scattering. This program is more and more used for heavy ions

Abstract (French)

On presente quelques ameliorations introduites dans le programme d'equations couplees dont le principe fut decrit dans les precedentes sessions, et les resultats les plus remarquables qu'il a permis d'obtenir. Le pouvoir d'analyse d'un etat 2+ dans une diffusion p p' est tres sensible au moment quadrupolaire de l'etat excite. La convolution d'un potentiel nucleon-α ajoutee par les physiciens de Karlsruhe permet de decrire leurs resultats pour des α de 104MeV avec les parametres obtenus pour des protons. Enfin ce programme est de plus en plus utilise pour des ions lourds
