''Ion wind'' effect on the separation in a plasma centrifuge with crossed fields

Description

The effect of ''ionic wind'' upon the separation in a plasma centrifuge with crossed fields is investigated. The analysis is carried out on the basis of the solution of the system of diffusion equations for multi-component slightly ionized plasma in the presence of a strong magnetic field. The analogy is stressed between the considered mechanism of beneficiation and the mass-diffusion effect. With a binary purely isotopic mixture as example, the effect is studied of the resonance re-charging upon the separation process
