Structure and decay properties of the heaviest elements

Description
Recent results from the study of elements with proton number Z ≥ 100 are reviewed with emphasis on nuclear structure data from both decay and in-beam studies. Selected data, in particular concerning confirmation experiments, from the study of new elements with Z = 110-112, 114-116 and 118 are also discussed. The experimental equipment used in this work is described and some future possibilities are discussed
