Magnetic study of defects in iron induced by 14 MeV neutron irradiation

Description
A series of magnetic disaccommodation measurements has been performed using high-purity ion polycrystals after irradiation with fission or fusion neutrons at 20 K. Several peaks were observed after successive annealing. A peak at 110 K and another at 200 K recovers in the peak temperature range. The mechanisms responsible for these processes are discussed as well as the difference between fission and fusion neutron and electron irradiation. (orig.)
