The weak mixing angle and its relation to the masses Mw and Mz
Description
Values for the weak mixing angle, one of the two basic coupling constants of the electroweak theory, are obtained, and summarized. The results are consistent with each other, with the neutrino data giving more accurate results. Electroweak one loop radiative corrections are included in the results. The masses of heavy bosons Mw and Mz can be calculated with the mixing angle as an input, from the Rv ratio and from the D ratio, and are restricted according to equation. The value for the angle predicted in the Su 5 Grand Unified Theory is determined to be in agreement with the results. Supersymmetric grand unified theories are also compared, and found in agreement
