Status and prospects of high-energy gamma-ray astrophysics

Description

The contemporaneous operation of the two gamma-ray satellites Agile and Glast in 2008 opens new possibilities for the study of gamma-ray astrophysics from space. The science objectives of these detectors and their connections with ground-based TeV instruments is discussed. The status of some projects of future high-energy gamma astrophysics experiments is presented.
