Description
The effect of first wall reflectivity on synchrotron radiation loss in tokamak reactors of arbitrary geometry is discussed. A commonly employed approximation is revisited, in the light of a recent accurate scaling law for global synchrotron loss in tokamaks of arbitrary geometry. It is shown that the synchrotron loss expected in reactors with highly reflecting walls is reduced with respect to previous estimates. (author)
