A high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction study of Nd2-xCexCuO4±y (x = 0; 0.15) in a helium atmosphere

Description
The temperature dependences of elementary cell parameters were obtained by means of high-temperature X-ray diffraction at heating of T'-phase samples of Nd2-xCexCuO4±y (x = 0; 0.15) composition in helium atmosphere from room temperature up to 1050 Deg C. Physicochemical processes attendant on every stage of synthesis and leading to formation of phases with properties of high-temperature superconductors have been revealed. Possible mechanism of the change processes between different oxygen positions in the structure of T'-phase at the final stage of high-temperature superconductors formation with the Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4-y composition is discussed in the context of current views on the effect of intrastructural oxygen disorder on the character of these dependence
Abstract (Russian)
Методом высокотемпературной рентгенографии получены температурные зависимости параметров элементарной ячейки при нагревании образцов Т'-фазы состава Nd2-xCexCuO4±y (x = 0; 0.15) в атмосфере гелия от комнатной температуры до 1050 град С. Выявлены физико-химических процессы, сопровождающие каждую стадию синтеза и ведущие к образованию фаз со свойствами высокотемпературных сверхпроводников. В рамках существующих представлений о влиянии внутриструктурного кислородного разоупорядочения на характер этих зависимостей обсуждается возможный механизм процессов обмена между различными кислородными позициями структуры Т'-фазы на заключительной стадии формирования фазы высокотемпературных сверхпроводников состава Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4-yAdditional details
