Active magnetic shielding support for biomagnetic instruments
Creators
- 1. Siemens Medical Engineering Group, Erlangen (Germany)
Description
An active magnetic shield is described which improves the efficiency of passively shielded rooms at low frequencies. The function of the active shield is limited to homogeneous vertical interference fields which turned out to be most severe. A large area inductance magnetometer surrounding the whole measuring site serves as interference sensor and minimizes interferences with local fields. (orig.)
