Does phasing out nuclear in Germany result in higher CO2 emissions?
Description
Illustrated by several graphs and diagrams, this article discusses the evolution of greenhouse gas emissions in Germany in relationship with the shutting down of nuclear plants. Thus, it notices and comments the reduction of total CO2 emissions since 1990, recalls the objectives of the German energy transition by 2050. It discusses the evolutions of electric power production and consumption since 1990: stabilisation of consumption, increase of electricity exports, reduction of power production by fossil and nuclear energies, development of electrical renewable energies. It finally discusses perspectives
