Estimate of coronary blood flow by simple fixation measurement of 86Rb on the cardiac muscle

Description
The method for measuring coronary blood flow is based on the estimate, by external detection, of the quantity of 86Rb fastened on the cardiac muscle about ten minutes after the injection. The discussion shows that the use of such a late time for the measurement does not contradict the fundamental hypothesis but allows to work in perfect technical conditions. The results obtained, widely superposable to those which have been published until to-day prove a posteriori the availability of the method

La methode de mesure du debit coronarien repose sur l'evaluation par detection externe de la quantite de 86Rb sur le myocarde dix minutes environ apres l'injection. La discussion qui succede montre que l'emploi d'un temps aussi tardif pour la mesure n'infirme pas les hypotheses fondamentales, mais qu'il permet d'operer dans des conditions techniques parfaites.
