Study on transient two phase flow, 1
Description
This report shows experimental data of void fraction and pressure drop for a transient air-water two phase flow in a horizontal tube. Transient experiments were conducted by linearly changing water flow rate with a constant air flow rate. The transient void fraction and pressure drop were compared with steady state values. The comparison shows that a magnitude and a sign of an acceleration rate of water in the transient very much affect void fraction and pressure drop due to the compressibility of air. (author)
