The steady state characteristics of a large volume collisional plasma contained by permanent magnets
Description
The D.C. characteristics of a nitrogen plasma produced in a vessel of about 25 litre capacity is outlined. A single thermionic cathode and separate anode were used. A plasma density of approximately 1011cm-3 was produced at background pressures of up to 200 mtorr. (Auth.)
