Influence of iodine on reaction of tetraphosphorus decasulfide with dialkyl disulfides
- 1. AN SSSR, Kazan (Russian Federation). Inst. Organicheskoj i Fizicheskoj Khimii
Description
Methods of 31P NMR and mass spectroscopy have been employed to reveal that elemental iodine decreases temperature of reaction of P4S10 with disulfides that results in the formation of trialkyl tetrathiolothionophosphates from 100-110 deg C to 20-60 deg C. The latter compounds decompose to trialkyl tetrathiophosphates. The scheme of reactions involving iodine intermediates has been proposed. 7 refs., 1 scheme
