Iodination of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor from Torpedo marmorata to high specific radioactivity with complete retention of antigenicity
Description
Studies on the antigenic structure of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor (nAChR) are carried out by a radioimmunoassay technique using labelled receptor. A simple method is described for the radioiodination of the nAChR from Torpedo marmorata to a specific radioactivity of 3500 Ci/mmol, with full retention of both its antigenicity and ability to bind α-bungarotoxin.
