Ion heating and control of the process in separation devices using electron beams

Description
By the use of calculations and experiments determined are the rotational velocity of constant-density plasma layers in crossed electric and magnetic fields, the radial electric field strength in the plasma, the plasma ion energy in a wide range of magnetic intensity and plasma density variations. The necessity is demonstrated to control the oscillation spectrum in the beam-plasma discharge (BPD) that provides excitation of ion oscillations required for separating the substance. The control over the spectrum of excited oscillations, the increase in the efficient use of the BPD, its restructuring to separate the necessary fractions of the substance under treatment can be realized through different ways of electron beam modulation.
