Description

The spall strength of depleted U-0.75% Ti was found to be between -4.1 to -2.9 GPa within the range of 5-22 GPa shock pressure. The Romanchenko approach used, introduces correction to the spall-strength calculation, significantly increasing the conventionally calculated spall strength of the depleted U-0.75% Ti. The fracture surfaces of spalled U-0.75% Ti are presented. ((orig.))
