Light particles nuclear interactions at intermediate energies

  • 1. CEA Centre d'Etudes de Bruyeres-le-Chatel, 91 (France)

Description

Nuclear interactions of light particles at intermediate energies are characterized by a large number of emitted neutrons. This intense source (spallation source) presents a large variety of potential applications, from fundamental physics studies to development of industrial projects. In this paper we present some theoretical aspects of the spallation models and the experiments undertaken to complete the reference experimental data set. Material damages are also described.
