Description

Circular polarization measurements across the Hβ profile of the rapidly rotating star α Leonis reveal a Zeeman pattern redshifted by 5 A from the line centre. This result is consistent with a simple model in which a magnetic spot was close to the receding limb at the time of the observations. (author)
