Review and critique of the CCME/NCSRP draft 2 protocol for the derivation of ecological effects-based and human health-based soil quality criteria for contaminated sites
Description
CAPP (Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers) had commissioned ChemRisk, a division of McLaren/Hart, to review and comment on the second draft of the Canadian Council of Ministers of the Environment's National Contaminated Site Remediation Program (CCME/NCSRP). CAPP requested that ChemRisk evaluate the application of the protocol in setting remediation criteria for decommissioning and remediating Canadian upstream petroleum facilities. A brief summary of the protocol was presented. ChemRisk provided major and minor comments on the protocol and a response to invited comments. It provided recommendations on how the CCME could improve the technical aspects of the protocol. 26 refs., 3 tabs., 1 fig
