RF system of KEK synchrotron
Description
RF systems of the booster and main ring for KEK synchrotron are described with illustrative figures. The outline of both systems is identical on the whole, but some parts of them have different specifications due to the difference in the parameters of acceleration. The general structure of the cavity for booster and main ring is the same. RF cavity is Brookhaven type end shorted coaxial resonant cavity, and ferrite bias current flows the wall of the cavity superposing on RF current; one RF stage has two cavities. For capture by the booster, the usage of adiabatic capture method at the injection to the booster is considered. (Mori, K.)
