Vector-like quark models and parity violating effects in nuclei
Description
Parity violating effects in nuclei for a class of vector-like quark models with a right-handed u-b coupling are examined. Determination of the parity violating nucleon potential due to pion exchange in these models is shown to be free from some difficulties present in the standard Weinberg-Salam model. The long-standing discrepancy between theory and experiment in medium and heavy nuclei can be removed in these models. (Auth.)
